ABOUT OUR COOLERS:Helpful Hints For Maximizing Your Cooler's PerformanceFrost Bite Coolers are very strong and tough, but durability is just one of the benefits of a Frost Bite. Outstanding thermal properties are another factor that sets the Frost Bite Sherpa and Fiberglass Series coolers apart. Frost Bite coolers are among the best insulated coolers on the market today (a full 2” or more of polyurethane insulation in the walls and lid of most sizes). This insulation, combined with a well-sealing gasket, creates optimal ice retention. If you understand and follow a few simple ice conserving tips, the Frost Bite Sherpa and Fiberglass coolers are unmatched in their performance.
These are some of the most important factors determining ice retention in a top quality cooler. If you follow these guidelines, you will achieve the best ice retention possible without an electrical cord attached. Just remember that the purpose of a cooler is to retain the temperature of its contents; it will not make ice for you. Notes: The smaller coolers such as the 16qt. Lunch-mate and 25qt. Sherpa do not have the insulation thickness or ice capacity of the bigger Frost Bite Coolers. You will not attain the same ice-retention from these smaller coolers; however, they are the strongest and best performing small coolers on the market. The Frost Bite Roughneck is a strong and well insulated cooler; however the Sherpa and Fiberglass series have a better seal and more wall insulation, providing greater ice keeping capacity. |
